Rufus Tarnue
Mr. Rufus Tarnue is a petroleum geoscientist with over thirty years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Starting his career at the Bureau of Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Lands, Mines, and Energy of Liberia, he quickly advanced to lead the department. His significant roles included Senior Petroleum Geologist at Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) and Director of Energy Projects at Liberia’s Ministry of Lands, Mines, and Energy. At LPRA, Mr. Tarnue leads the technical services division, developing a robust regulatory framework for exploration and production activities, ensuring safety, integrity, and efficiency. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Liberia and a graduate diploma in Petroleum Exploration from a specialized US Government program.
