Liberia is preparing to launch its 2026 Offshore Direct Negotiation Licensing Round in Q4 2026, opening new opportunities for international investors and exploration companies to participate in the country’s next phase of offshore exploration. Supported by an expanded seismic and technical data portfolio, proven petroleum systems, recent regulatory reforms and a clear licensing framework, the round offers investors access to prospective deepwater and ultra-deepwater acreage across the Liberia and Harper Basins. With more than 50,000 line-km of 2D seismic and 31,000 km² of 3D data, alongside new frontier imaging and technical studies, Liberia is strengthening the geological understanding of its offshore potential and creating a more informed pathway for investment.
