LPRA is committed to fostering local content and participation in the oil & gas sector as mandated by the Petroleum Exploration and Production Law of 2014. We define “local content” as the monetary value of all locally produced materials, personnel, and services utilized in the oil & gas industry. “Participation” refers to the involvement level of Liberian-owned businesses in the oil and gas sector. According to our criteria, Liberian-owned businesses are those controlled by Liberian citizens, adhering to the legal stipulation in section 44.1 of the law.
